In control at new pumping stations

11th April 2018

As part of ongoing work for a national client, Detectronic MEICA is set to deliver the design, installation and commissioning of electrical and ICA controls for two brand new pumping stations on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire.

With over 20,000 new homes being built in the local area, the new pumping stations are required to further enhance the existing wastewater infrastructure.

“As part of the project, we will deliver a brand new Motor Control Centre (MCC) and specific wet well instrumentation. We are also ensuring that the entire installation is compliant with the latest WIMES, sewers for adoption and BS7671 wiring regulations,” states Steve Stone, director of Detectronic MEICA.

“In order to provide quick and easy removal and replacement of pumps in the event of pump failure, we will also be fitting Marechal® ATEX-rated plugs and sockets throughout both pumping stations.”
