Pump refurb contract complete

Detectronic MEICA has completed a design, install and commission contract to refurbish a sewage pumping station based in Hampshire.

The scope of works included the replacement of the station’s existing pumps, the design and installation of wet well instrumentation, a Motor Control Centre (MCC), building services and all cabling and containment.

Upgrade works have also incorporated allowance for future telemetry projects and installation of Marechal® plug and socket for the pumps within the control room to allow for easy and safe removal of the pumps in the event of failure.

Commenting on the four-week project, Steve Stone, director at Detectronic MEICA, said: “The team have, once again, excelled themselves to deliver another first class pumping station refurbishment on time and on budget.”
