Clean water booster station refurbishment

Detectronic MEICA has been awarded to deliver a £55k project that saw the team refurbishing a clean water booster station at Harman Lines in Warminster.

Appointed by a large UK service & utility firm, Detectronic MEICA are the principal contractors and designers for the project  tasked with an extensive scope of works to upgrade the clean water booster station.

Outlines Steve Stone, director at Detectronic MEICA: “First off, there were two existing booster sets that needed to be incorporated with a brand new Grundfos pump set to supply both the old and new systems.

“We replaced the two old pump sets with the new pump set and control panels which, in turn, service the old building as well as the new building. At the same time, we delivered the replacement of all actuated valves, electrical cabling, break tank instrumentation, monitoring instrumentation and telemetry associated with cabling containment and electrical equipment.”

This was a challenging project but delivered on time and to budget. Find details in our projects section.

Ends.
