We collect information in a variety of ways including information you give us and information we collect from your use of websites. If you are asking for a quotation for products and/or services, you may provide us with information including your name, company, email address, telephone number, location, type of business and application requirements.
When visiting our website we use IP addresses and cookies to track visitors and the behaviour of visitors on the site. Additional information is collected if you submit a form or complete a survey.
If you are a known person to Detectronic and you visit the website or contact us, a record of your communication, sales transactions and website activity may be recorded in our CRM system.
If you subscribe to one of data centre services, you will provide email addresses and phone numbers when we create an account and client login details for you.
How we use information we collect
We use the information collected from you to provide quotations, make telephone contact and email you product and service information which Detectronic believes may be of interest to you and your business. Subscribers to our services will receive reports and alerts via their preferred preference.
We use information collected from cookies and other technologies to improve the user experience and quality of our services.
Any information we hold about you and your business includes information you have provided, quotes provided, any sales transactions and any third-party information we have obtained from public sources and our own suppliers such as credit referencing agencies.
Detectronic will only collect information needed to manage your account with us and provide you with our products and services.
Information we share
We will never sell your data.
We will share personal information with companies, organisations or individuals outside Detectronic when we have your consent to do so. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.
We will share personal information with companies, organisations or individuals outside Detectronic if we have a belief in good faith that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
• Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
• Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
• Detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
• Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Detectronic, our customers or the public, as required or permitted by law.
How we protect your information
We restrict access to personal information to Detectronic employees and contractors who need to know information needed to process it for us.
We will process personal data during the duration of any contract and will continue to store only the information needed for legitimate business or legal purposes after that time.
Detectronic processes personal information on servers in several countries. We may process your personal information on a server located outside the country where you live. Data held in our CRM is protected under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework.
Accessing your data
You may request access to any personal information we hold about you and how that information is processed at any time. If any information is incorrect, or you want to make changes to how that information is processed, we will update it or delete it as quickly as possible, unless we have to keep that information for legal or legitimate business reasons.
To request information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. As a security measure we may ask for proof of identification before providing personal information. Any requests will be handled as a matter of urgency and within 30 days of request.
